Terms of Service

Effective October 10, 2026 · Last updated October 16, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between CourtRemind™ ("we," "us") and the person or organization that creates a CourtRemind™ account ("Customer," "you"). By creating an account or using courtremind.com and the CourtRemind™ service (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you accept on behalf of a firm or agency, you confirm you have authority to bind it.

1. The Service

CourtRemind™ connects to calendars you choose, identifies court dates and appointments, and sends text-message reminders to recipients you designate. The Service is a reminder tool for businesses, intended for attorneys, law firms, bail bond agencies, and similar professionals and their staff.

Reminders are a courtesy, not legal notice. CourtRemind™ does not provide legal advice and does not create an attorney-client relationship with anyone. Text messages can be delayed, filtered, or not delivered for reasons outside our control, and court dates can change. You remain solely responsible for your calendar, for notifying clients of their obligations, and for your professional duties. Recipients remain responsible for attending court.

2. Accounts and security

3. Your responsibilities for text messages

You are the sender of the reminders you set up, and you agree that:

We may suspend sending, or the account, if we reasonably believe the Service is being used in violation of this section or carrier rules.

4. Calendar connections

When you connect a Google, Microsoft, or other calendar, you authorize CourtRemind™ to read events on the calendars you select, as described in the Privacy Policy. CourtRemind™'s access is read-only. You can disconnect at any time; reminders based on that calendar will stop.

Unlimited calendars, reasonable use. Every plan includes unlimited calendar connections for the calendars of your account's attorneys, staff, and firm or agency. Connecting an unreasonable number of calendars, connecting calendars of people outside your firm or agency, or using calendar sync in a way that burdens the Service is not permitted. If that happens, we may ask you to reduce your connections, limit syncing, or suspend or terminate your account.

5. Free trial, plans, and billing

6. Acceptable use

You will not reverse engineer or copy the Service; interfere with its security or operation; access it by automated means other than features we provide; use it to build a competing product; upload malicious code; resell it without our written agreement; or use it in violation of law or these Terms.

7. Your data

You own the data you put into the Service ("Customer Data"), including your client directory and calendar information. You grant us permission to process Customer Data only to provide, secure, and support the Service and as described in the Privacy Policy. We will not sell Customer Data. You can export or delete Customer Data, and we will delete it after account closure as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Our intellectual property

CourtRemind™, its software, design, and branding are owned by us and our licensors. These Terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service during your subscription. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or improve features; if we remove a material feature you pay for, we will give reasonable notice.

10. Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay, or use the Service in a way that creates legal or security risk, with notice where practicable. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including sections 3, 7, and 11 through 14) will survive.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ANY MESSAGE WILL BE DELIVERED OR RECEIVED, THAT CALENDAR EVENTS WILL BE DETECTED OR MATCHED CORRECTLY, OR THAT USE OF THE SERVICE WILL PREVENT A MISSED COURT DATE, WARRANT, OR BOND FORFEITURE. RESEARCH FINDINGS DESCRIBED ON OUR WEBSITE ARE PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION AND ARE NOT A PROMISE OF RESULTS.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (A) NEITHER PARTY WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, OR BOND AMOUNTS, ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE; AND (B) OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. THESE LIMITS DO NOT APPLY TO YOUR PAYMENT OBLIGATIONS OR YOUR INDEMNITY OBLIGATIONS.

13. Indemnification

You will defend and indemnify CourtRemind™ against third-party claims, and related losses and costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees), arising from Customer Data, messages sent through your account, your failure to obtain required consents, or your violation of law or these Terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

Informal resolution first. Before filing any claim, the party raising a dispute will send the other a written notice by email describing the issue and the relief requested. Both parties will try in good faith to resolve it for 30 days after the notice is received. Either party may then file a claim, or seek urgent injunctive relief at any time to protect its rights or data.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts located in San Diego County, California have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service, and each party consents to that venue.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. For material changes, we will notify customers by email or in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated Terms.

16. General

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them to a business entity we form to operate CourtRemind (for example, an LLC) or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, and will notify you if we do. Notices to us must be sent by email to the address below; we will send notices to you at the email address on your account.
