CourtRemind › Bail bonds
For bail bond agents
Court date reminders for defendants and cosigners.
When a defendant misses court, the bond is at risk and you're the one chasing them. CourtRemind™ sends a text reminder to the defendant and the cosigner before every appearance, in English or Spanish, so they show up.
- Reminders 7, 3, and 1 day before each court date
- Defendant, cosigner, and family each get their own text
- Replies confirm attendance, so you know who's coming
How it works
Set it up once per defendant. Every court date is covered.
Add the defendant and cosigner
Phone numbers and language for each. Import your current book of business from a spreadsheet.
Add court dates
Connect the Google or Outlook calendar you already keep court dates on, or add them right in CourtRemind™.
Reminders go out automatically
Before every appearance. Reschedule the date and the reminders follow. Mark it cancelled and they stop.
Why agents use it
The cosigner is your best reminder.
The person who signed for the bond has every reason to make sure the defendant shows up. CourtRemind™ keeps them informed without you making the calls.
Fewer missed appearances
Randomized studies of court text reminders found fewer failures to appear and fewer bench warrants. See the research.
Spanish when it's needed
Choose English or Spanish for each phone number. A defendant can get English while their mother gets Spanish.
A record of every reminder
See what was sent, when, to whom, and who confirmed. STOP requests are honored automatically and consent is recorded.
Questions
Bail bond agent FAQ
Can the cosigner get the reminder too?
Yes. Add the indemnitor, cosigner, or any family member to the defendant's file, each with their own phone number and language. Each person gets their own reminder before every court date.
Do I need Google Calendar or Outlook?
No. If your court dates are already on a Google or Outlook calendar, CourtRemind™ reads them automatically. If not, add court dates directly in CourtRemind™ from the client page or the calendar view.
How do I know if the defendant got the message?
Recipients can reply C to confirm. Your calendar view shows who confirmed, and a morning email lists anything that needs attention, like a court date with no phone number on file.
How many texts do I need?
Each reminder to each phone number is one text, however long it is. A defendant and one cosigner with the default 7, 3, and 1-day schedule is six texts per court date. Plans start at 100 texts a month; extra texts are available any time.
Is there a contract?
No. Plans are month to month or yearly, and you can cancel anytime. Try it first with 25 free texts and no credit card.
