Outlook + SMS
SMS reminders from your Outlook calendar.
Keep your court dates in Outlook. CourtRemind™ reads them and sends a text reminder to each client, and the family members and cosigners who help them get to court, before every hearing.
- Microsoft 365, Outlook on the web, and Outlook.com
- Read-only: nothing in Outlook is ever changed
- Reminders 7, 3, and 1 day before, in English or Spanish
How to connect Outlook
Publish your calendar link, then paste it in.
Publish the calendar
In Outlook on the web: Settings → Calendar → Shared calendars → Publish a calendar. Choose the calendar and "Can view all details."
Copy the ICS link
Outlook shows an HTML link and an ICS link. Copy the ICS link and paste it into CourtRemind™ under "paste a calendar link."
Add your clients once
Name, phone, and language, plus any family member or cosigner. Matching events get their reminders automatically.
The same calendar-link option works with Apple Calendar, Clio, and most other calendars that can share an iCal (.ics) link.

Questions
Outlook SMS reminders FAQ
Can Outlook send text message reminders to clients?
Not on its own. Outlook reminds you and can email meeting invitations, but it doesn't send text messages to clients. CourtRemind reads your Outlook calendar and sends the text reminders.
Which versions of Outlook work?
Outlook on the web, Microsoft 365, and Outlook.com can publish a calendar link, which is how CourtRemind connects today. If you use the Outlook desktop app with a Microsoft 365 account, publish the link from Outlook on the web. Your IT admin may need to allow calendar publishing.
How quickly do changes show up?
CourtRemind checks the link every few minutes, but Microsoft refreshes a published calendar on its own schedule, so a change in Outlook can take a while to appear. For a hearing in the next day or two, check the court date in CourtRemind after you change it.
Is the link private?
A published calendar link works like a private web address: anyone who has it can see the events. Share it only with CourtRemind, and you can reset the link in Outlook at any time.
Does CourtRemind change my Outlook calendar?
No. It only reads the published link. It can never add, change, or delete anything in Outlook.
